How to tell a good seller from a risky one

The signals that mean something, and the ones that do not. Follower count is not on the first list.

You can learn most of what you need in two minutes of watching.

Signals that mean something

They show the flaw without being asked. The strongest single signal. A seller who volunteers the chip is telling you what their descriptions are worth.

They answer awkward questions. "Is that a repair?" answered plainly is worth more than any badge. Watch what happens when somebody asks something inconvenient.

They turn the thing over. Backs, bases, labels, hallmarks. A seller who only ever shows the good side is choosing to.

They are on regularly. Somebody building a shop behaves differently from somebody clearing a cupboard once.

Their descriptions match what turns up. You only learn this by buying once. Start small.

Signals that mean less than you think

Follower count. It measures how long they have been doing this, not how honest they are.

Confidence. Fluency on camera is a skill, not a character reference.

A low price. Sometimes it is a bargain and sometimes it is a reason.

What is behind you either way

The money is held until the item arrives, every seller is identity-checked before they can take money, and you have seven days from delivery to report a fault.

So buying from somebody new is a smaller risk than it feels. That is the point of the arrangement.

Questions people ask

Should I avoid sellers with no sales yet?

No. Everyone starts there, and the held money is exactly what makes a first sale possible.

Is a verified badge a guarantee?

It means we know who they are. Not that an item is genuine.

What if a seller will not answer a question?

That is an answer. Bid accordingly or do not bid.

Can I see a seller's past sales?

You can see their store and their reviews.
