Comics are paper, which means condition is almost everything and the damage is mostly structural.
What decides the price
Issue and printing — a first printing and a later one are different items and the difference is frequently large.
Spine condition — ticks, stress marks, rolling.
Staples — rust, detachment, migration.
Page quality — white, off-white, cream, tan, brittle. A real factor and often ignored.
Restoration — any, declared.
What to show
The spine, edge on. Where the damage is and where photographs never look.
The staples, close.
The indicia — the small print block that states the printing. This is how a buyer confirms which edition they are bidding on, and it costs you ten seconds.
The page edges, for colour.
The back cover, which takes more damage than the front and is shown less.
Describing it
Use the trade's language and then say what you see. The standard scale runs 0.5 to 10; if you are not a grader, say which band you would put it in and that you are not a grader.
Restoration must be declared. Colour touch, tear seals, trimming — all of it, every time. It is the single thing that most reliably turns a sale into a dispute.
Indian and international
Both sell. For Indian comics, say the language and the publisher — those narrow the audience and the audience for them is specific and knowledgeable.
Delivery
Rigid, dry, flat. Packing comics.
