Games are easy to sell live and easy to sell badly, because the three things that decide the price are all things a seller can demonstrate in thirty seconds and most do not.
What decides the price
Completeness. Sealed, complete in box, or loose. Those are three different items, not three descriptions of one. Complete means the case, the manual, any inserts — say exactly what is there.
Region. Consoles and discs are region-coded, and a buyer whose machine will not read your copy has a problem that is nobody's fault and still ends in a return. Show the region marking on the spine or the disc.
Whether it works. The most persuasive thirty seconds in any game listing is the thing booting on camera.
What to show on camera
- The spine, where region and edition usually print
- The disc or cartridge face
- The playing surface, angled into the light
- Inside the case — manual, inserts, the hub holding the disc
- The game running, if you can
The save battery
Older cartridges keep saves on a small internal battery, and those batteries have a life. If you can power the cartridge on, say whether it saves. If you cannot, say you have not tested it. Both are fine; silence is not.
On sealed games
A seal is not a certificate. If you are selling something sealed, the useful thing to say is where it came from and how long you have had it — not an assurance you cannot back. Buyers who care about sealed items know this already, and they trust the seller who says it first.
Delivery
Cases crack, discs come loose from their hubs, and a cartridge rattling in a big box arrives scuffed. Packing games.

Questions people ask
Should I clean a disc before selling?
A light clean from the centre outwards is normal. Say you did it, and never hide a scratch under polish.
Does a missing manual matter?
Yes, for anything collected. It is the difference between complete and "case and disc", so use the right words.
Can I sell a console as untested?
Yes, if you say so plainly in the title and the description, and price it as untested. What you can and cannot sell.
