The item closes, your name is on it, and a payment sheet opens over the show so you do not have to leave the room.
The clock on paying
Thirty minutes if you won in front of the screen. That is short on purpose: you are there, you meant to buy it, and the seller is still at the table with the next item in their hands.
Twelve hours if the auction ended while you were away — counted from the first time you open it, and never longer than twelve hours after it ended. You were not there to be asked, so you get the longer window.
What you are paying
The winning bid, plus delivery if it is being posted. Nothing else.
Later wins in the same show ship with the first, and by default there is no extra delivery charge for them. A seller can set one, and it is shown before you bid. How delivery is worked out.
If the item was listed as collect-only, there is no delivery charge and you agreed to collect it before you bid.
Paying
UPI is fastest on a phone — the app opens, you approve, you come back. Cards work too.
If a payment fails, that is usually a bank limit or a UPI app that did not return. It does not mean you have lost the item; the clock is still running and you can try again.
Then the money waits
We hold it. The seller is told they have sold it and gets paid after it reaches you. Why we do that — it is also what makes it possible to buy from a shop with no reviews.
If you do not pay
The order is cancelled, a strike is recorded against your account, and the item is offered to the next bidder at their bid. Enough of those and you stop being able to bid.
We would rather say that plainly here than have anyone find it out the hard way.
Questions people ask
How long do I have to pay?
Thirty minutes if you were watching, twelve hours if it ended while you were away.
Can I pay later?
No. The window is the window. If you genuinely cannot, the item goes to the next bidder, which is better for them and for the seller than waiting.
My payment failed — have I lost the item?
Not yet. Try again within the window. Bank limits and UPI hand-offs are the usual causes.
Money left my account but there is no order — what happened?
Almost always an authorisation that was taken but never captured. It reverses itself, usually within a few days. If it has not, send us the reference from your bank and we will trace it.
Can I change the delivery address after paying?
Before the seller dispatches, usually yes — ask them on the order. After, no.
Do I pay delivery on every item?
No. Later wins in the same show ship with the first, and by default there is nothing extra to pay for them. A seller can set a charge for each later win; the listing says so.
