Combining happens within one store, in one show. Across two shows it is a favour you ask for, not a setting that applies.
What combines by itself
Several wins from the same store in the same show. The seller's setting is literally called that, and it is on by default with the charge for each later win defaulting to nothing.
At checkout it shows as Delivery (combined), which is how you know it applied. Do I pay delivery on every item I win?
What does not
Two different shows, even from the same seller. They are separate orders placed at separate times, and nothing groups them automatically.
Two different stores, ever. There is no setting for this and no exception — two sellers cannot put their items in one box.
How to ask
Message the seller from the order, before they pack, and be specific:
"I've won things in tonight's show and I'm hoping to buy from Friday's too — would you be able to hold tonight's and send them together?"
That works more often than people expect, because it is cheaper for the seller as well: one parcel, one courier booking, one trip to the drop-off.
What makes a seller say no
- They have already dispatched. Once the first parcel has gone, the second is a second parcel. That is why asking early matters.
- Their dispatch deadline. Courier orders are due 24 or 48 hours after payment, and holding your first order to wait for a second makes them late — which is measured. A seller refusing on those grounds is protecting their store health, not being awkward.
- Something perishable in the first order.
That second one is the real constraint, and it is worth understanding: you are asking them to break a promise the app holds them to. Offering to wait is polite; expecting it is not.
What it saves
One delivery charge instead of two, which on a heavy or distant parcel is the largest single cost of a small purchase. Why is delivery costing so much?
The alternative that always works
Collection, where the seller offers it. Nothing is charged for delivery and the number of orders stops mattering — you collect however many there are in one trip. Can I collect instead of having it posted?
If you were charged twice and think you should not have been
Within one store, with neither item shipped, a seller can refund the difference. Ask from the order. Most will, because it is a two-minute fix rather than a dispute.
