No. No live animals of any kind — not pets, not birds, not fish, not livestock, not insects.
There is not even a category for it. Look through the list and there is no Pets, because this is not a thing Metzee does.
Why it is absolute
A live auction is the worst possible way to sell an animal. A clock, a bidding war and a stranger with a courier account is the opposite of how a creature should change hands.
Nothing about the delivery system is fit for it. Parcels are weighed, boxed and handed to a courier, and a courier network is not a way to move something alive.
There is no return. Every protection here assumes an object that can come back.
So this is not a rule awaiting an exception for a careful seller. There is no version of it that works.
What is allowed
Things for animals. Collars, bowls, tanks, cages, aquarium equipment, grooming tools — ordinary objects, and they sell perfectly well.
Taxidermy and natural history are a genuinely different question with their own rules, and some of it is restricted. Can I sell ivory, shells or feathers?
Plants and seeds are their own question too, and the answer is more nuanced. Can I sell plants or seeds?
If you see one listed
Report it under Safety / report someone, which exists for exactly this. It comes down, and a store that listed one has a problem beyond the listing. How moderation works
If you breed or rehome animals
That is real work and this is simply the wrong place for it. Rehoming needs a conversation, a check on the home, and no clock — none of which a marketplace built for auctions can give you.
