How moderation actually works here

An automatic filter, a human behind it, and an honest account of what the filter gets wrong.

Two layers, and the first one is stupid on purpose.

The automatic filter

A word list. It hides messages containing things that have no business in a sale — abuse, and attempts to move the deal off the platform.

It is blunt. It will occasionally hide something innocent because a word appeared inside another word, and it does not understand context at all. That is the trade: a filter that catches most of the bad quickly, and a person for everything else.

If yours was hidden and should not have been, say so.

The host

A seller running a show can remove somebody from their own chat. That is their room.

What a host cannot do is remove a report, hide a review, or stop you raising an order problem.

A person

Reports go to somebody who reads them and decides. What that looks like.

What is not moderated

Prices. A high price is not a rule violation; the room decides.

Taste. We do not referee whether something is worth it.

Reviews, except where one breaks the rules — a review is not removable for being unflattering.

Questions people ask

Why was my message hidden?

The word filter, almost always. It is not a ban.

Can I appeal?

Yes, and say which message.

Does the seller see reports about them?

They see outcomes, not who reported.

Who moderates the sellers themselves?

We do. A host moderates their chat; nobody moderates their own conduct.

More: what Metzee will not do.
