Four, and the store decides which it offers on each item. You see the choice at checkout.
Courier
A courier company delivers — Delhivery, India Post and the like.
The commonest, works anywhere a courier reaches, and it comes with tracking. The parcel is in the network for a few days and that is where most delivery problems live. Tracking says delivered but nothing arrived
The store's own delivery
The store or their team brings it — often the same afternoon, usually local.
Fast, personal, and limited to where they go. Common for food, flowers, plants, and anything that would not survive a courier. Can I sell plants or seeds?
Pickup
You collect from one of the store's pickup points — a shop, a studio, a market stall.
Usually no delivery charge, no courier risk, and the best option for anything heavy, fragile or local. It comes with a collection deadline, and a store can charge a no-show fee if you never come. What is a pickup point?
Buyer arranges
You send your own courier or driver to collect it.
For large or awkward things — furniture, anything a normal parcel network will not take. The arrangement is yours, which also means the journey is yours. Why some items can only be collected
Who carries the risk
Worth knowing, because it differs:
Courier or the store's own delivery — the store booked it, so a parcel lost or damaged in transit is theirs to resolve with the carrier, and you raise it from the order. The courier damaged my parcel
Pickup — nothing is in transit. You check it when you collect.
Buyer arranges — you chose the carrier, so the journey is on you. That is the trade for being able to move something a courier would refuse.
What is the same whichever you pick
The money is held until the item reaches you.
Delivery is shown before you pay.
Returns. Damaged, faulty, wrong or not as described comes back for 7 days whatever the store's policy says.
How to choose
Something heavy or fragile, and the store is near? Pickup, every time.
Anything else? Courier.
Furniture or similar? Buyer arranges, and get a quote before you bid rather than after. Five questions worth asking before you bid
