Look at the bid list. If your amount is in it, it counted. That is the whole check, and it is faster than anything else you might do.
What a bid that counted looks like
Your amount appears in the list, and the screen says either You’re the top bidder or You’ve been outbid. Both mean it registered — the second just means somebody went higher afterwards.
Being outbid is not a failed bid. It is a bid that worked and was passed.
What a bid that did not register looks like
Your amount is nowhere in the list, and you saw no change in the top bid. Three causes:
It was below the next step. Bids move in increments. If the next valid bid is ₹1,050, then ₹1,010 is not a small bid — it is not a bid. Use the Bid button, which always offers a valid amount.
Your connection dropped. The bid never reached Metzee. The tell is that nothing on screen changed at all — no error, no movement.
Something blocks you from bidding on that item. An unpaid win, or a seller whose own team you are on — a member of a store cannot bid on that store. You would have been told.
The case that confuses people most
The timer ran out while your bid was in flight. On a standard auction a bid in the final ten seconds pushes the clock back to ten seconds, so a bid that arrives in time extends the auction rather than missing it. If it genuinely arrived after the close, it did not count.
On sudden death the clock never moves, so late is late. The last ten seconds.
If it keeps happening
Switch between wifi and mobile data. A bid is a small request — if it is not getting through, the connection is dropping rather than being slow.
More: if your bid is not going through, how bidding works, the ten seconds after a bid.
