Yes, and it is reversible. Closing a store is not the same as deleting your account — you keep your account, keep buying, and can reopen the store later.
What happens when you close
Your listings come down, marked so that exactly those come back if you reopen. Nothing of yours is deleted.
Upcoming auctions are called off, and any pre-bids on them are released.
Your store page shows as closed, so buyers and followers are not left messaging a store nobody is reading.
What stops you closing
The app will not let you walk away from something that is still moving. For a store, that means:
- Orders still to ship
- Earnings you have not withdrawn
- A payout on its way
- A refund you owe
- A live show running
- A giveaway people have entered
Each of those is somebody else's expectation, which is the whole reason the check exists. Clear them and the store closes.
Reopening
Your listings come back — the ones that were taken down by the closing, not everything you ever had. Check your delivery rates before you sell again, because courier prices move. How to set delivery prices
Closing the store versus deleting the account
Closing the store ends the selling. You stay a buyer, keep your orders and your history, and can reopen.
Deleting the account ends everything. It hides you at once, and for 30 days signing in offers to restore it — after which your details are erased, your username is held for 90 days, your reviews stay as written without a link back, and past chat shows a deleted user. Orders, invoices and payouts are kept without you, because tax law requires it. How to delete your account
Deleting has the same blockers as closing, plus the buyer ones: an order on its way to you, an open return or dispute, a win to pay for, or being the top bidder in an auction that is running.
Before you close
Tell your buyers. A short message to anyone mid-conversation costs nothing and saves them chasing.
Export what you want to keep. Your ledger and your analytics come out as files, and those are yours on your own device. Can I get a yearly summary for my accountant?
Consider pausing instead. If this is a busy season rather than an ending, simply not listing for a while costs nothing at all. What happens if I stop selling for a while?
