Yes, and a second person is the single biggest improvement available to a show that is already working.
Two different jobs
On camera — talking, holding items, answering the chat out loud. Nothing technical: anyone standing next to you is on camera, because the camera is yours.
In the controls — starting items, queueing the next one, watching the chat. That needs a role, because it means acting for your store.
Those are different people in most good shows: one talks, one drives.
The roles
Show producer—Lines up items and runs the show from a second phone. The one you want for a co-pilot: they can schedule, run the show and moderate, and add items, without touching your money.Live host—Goes live for the store and runs the auctions. For someone broadcasting instead of you, from their own phone.Moderator—Keeps live chat friendly, and nothing else. The narrowest role, right for a friend who just watches the chat.
Give the smallest one that covers the job. You can widen it in a tap; you cannot un-see what someone has already seen. How to add someone to your store
What buyers see
A team member hosting appears as the store, with their own name alongside — not as you. Buyers are never misled about who they are talking to, and a host or moderator carries a badge that identifies them as part of the store rather than a neutral viewer.
That matters: a "buyer" in your chat enthusiastically praising an item should not be your cousin with no label on them.
What a second person cannot do
Bid on your items. Nobody on your store's team can, through any account. A team member bidding on the store they work for is shill bidding, with the reserve and the other bids in front of them. Can I buy and sell with one account?
Touch the money. Withdrawing, changing the bank account, and making someone a Manager are owner-only whatever role you give. Those cannot be granted.
The setup that works
One person holds the item and talks. The other, on a second phone, runs Lineup — Start next item, Add the next item, Edit lineup — and reads the chat aloud when something needs answering.
It roughly doubles the pace, because the gap between one item closing and the next opening is where a room empties, and that gap is admin. How to put an item up during a show
If it is just for one show
Set an end date. Access ends — For temporary help — they lose access automatically. A Weekend packer with an end date is a decision made once; one without is a thing to remember to undo.
If nobody is available
A show with one person works. The things that substitute best for a second pair of hands: queue the whole lineup before going live with Prepare lineup, and set muted words in advance so the chat needs less watching.
