This category spans the smallest parcels on the site and some of the largest, and the delivery option is chosen per listing rather than once for the store.
Clothing and small items
Light, compressible, easy. Courier with a sealed bag inside, a weight rule, and lots by size that combine beautifully.
Prams, cots, high chairs and seats
Large, often heavy, and awkward once folded. Measure the packed carton — most couriers price on size as well as weight — and decide honestly whether a courier is the right route at all. Packing baby items.
The four options
Courier for clothing, toys and small equipment. Your own delivery locally, which parents appreciate. Pickup for prams, cots and anything bulky. Buyer arranges for the largest.
When collection is the honest answer
For large equipment, and often for anything a buyer would want to check before using. Pickup terms are agreed before bidding, with a collect-by window. How pickup works.
Combining wins
Clothing combines superbly — one parcel of a dozen pieces costs little more than one piece. A pram combines with nothing. Combining is on by default and you set what each later win adds.
The part of this that is not about delivery
Small fixings. Bag them, label them, tape them to the item and write the count on a note inside, because a fixing lost in packing material is a buyer who cannot safely assemble what they bought.
Questions people ask
Should a car seat go by courier?
It can, boxed and padded — if it is within its expiry, complete, and not recalled. That check comes first. Prohibited items.
Is collection better for a cot?
Usually, dismantled with labelled fixings.
Free delivery on clothing lots?
Works well if costed on the packed weight.
