The order shows Status: {status} and Resolution: {text}, with the date it was decided. That is the outcome, and it is based on the record both sides put in.
What it means
The evidence available did not support your side. Usually that is one of three things:
- The listing covered it. A flaw named in the description or visible in a photograph is not a misdescription, however disappointing on arrival.
- The reason did not match the facts. Choosing "not as described" for a change of mind is the commonest version.
- There was nothing to decide on. No photographs, no tracking, no messages — just two accounts of what happened.
That last one is the frustrating one, and it is the most preventable. Evidence cannot be created after the fact, only produced.
What it does not mean
It does not mean you were dishonest. Most decisions that go against a buyer are about what was documented, not about anyone's character.
It does not mean you cannot buy. A lost dispute is not a strike. Strikes come from unpaid wins and uncollected pickups, not from raising something that did not go your way.
It does not mean raising it was wrong. An unanswered problem is worse than one decided against you.
Is there anywhere else to go?
Within Metzee: not another dispute on the same order. Opening a second one about the same thing does not add urgency and splits the record.
What is left:
New evidence. If something genuinely new has come to light — the courier confirms a different delivery address, you have found the packaging — say so on the order. A decision made without information that now exists is worth revisiting.
The seller, directly. A seller who won a dispute sometimes still offers a partial refund to end it, especially if you are reasonable about it. That costs nothing to ask.
Metzee support, if you think the process went wrong rather than the outcome being unfavourable. Those are different complaints and worth separating. How do I escalate a complaint?
Your statutory rights. A marketplace decision does not remove the rights Indian consumer law gives you. Nothing here is the final word on your legal position.
What is worth doing instead
Read what the resolution says. It names the reason, and that is the most useful thing available — it tells you what the record lacked.
Then, honestly: if the answer is "I had no photographs", that is a habit to change rather than a decision to contest. Photograph the parcel as it arrives, before opening, whenever it looks disturbed. It takes thirty seconds and it is the difference in most of these. How to raise a problem
For a seller it went against
Same shape: the resolution names why. A decision against you counts toward Order defect rate, one of six measured standards — one is recoverable over the rolling window, a pattern is not. How to respond to a dispute
More: how buyer protection works, how refunds work, what Metzee will not do.
