Sometimes, and you can tell before you buy. Each store sets a dispatch time — how long it takes to get a paid order into the courier's hands — and it is on the listing.
Some stores post same day. Many take a day or two. A maker making to order takes longer, and says so.
Where to look
On the listing, with the delivery information, before you pay. That number plus the courier's own estimate is your real answer — and the courier's part is usually the longer one.
If something is urgent, read it rather than hoping. A store posting in 48 hours is not slow, it is a store that said 48 hours.
What the dispatch time is not
Not the delivery date. It is the handover to the courier. The journey comes after.
Not a promise about weekends, necessarily. A store closed on Sunday does not post on Sunday, and its calendar accounts for that.
Not negotiable by asking in the chat during a show, because the seller is busy and the answer is already published.
If it matters
Ask before you bid, not after. A seller will tell you straight whether they can get something out today, and it is a fair question asked in advance.
Choose pickup if it exists. Nothing is faster than collecting it. What is a pickup point?
Do not assume a show item ships faster. It often ships slower — a store that sold thirty items in an hour has thirty parcels to pack.
If the deadline passes and nothing has moved
Message the store first. Most of the time it went out and the tracking has not caught up.
Then raise it from the order. Shipping within the stated time is one of the things a store is held to, and a missed dispatch counts against them. How to raise an issue
Do not wait a fortnight out of politeness. Early is easier for everyone, including the store.
For sellers
Set a dispatch time you can keep on a bad week, not your best one. A store promising 24 hours and taking three is worse than one promising three and taking three — the number is a promise, not an aspiration.
And set your closed days honestly, because the deadlines are built from them. How to set your dispatch deadline
