There are two quite different situations, and the fix is different for each.
1. It would not save
A validation error, which means the listing never existed. The screen tells you which:
Missing required fieldsEnter a price above ₹0, orPrice is too highEnter a starting price above ₹0Stock must be at least 1Description is too longInvalid photos,Invalid category,Invalid conditionAdd at least one question for the buyer, on a made-to-order itemStarting price can’t be above the reserve price
These are mechanical. Fix the named field and save again.
Two that confuse people: a message saying something "needs the latest database update" is not about your listing at all — it means the server is missing a migration, and nothing you do will change it. And your listing slots may be full: 5 at Starter, 10 at Verified, 20 at Pro. That is not a rejection either, it is a cap. How to get verified
2. Metzee took it down
Different, and it happens after the listing was live. You will see:
Metzee took this item down, so it can’t go back on sale. Contact Metzee from Help if you think this is a mistake.
It cannot be put back on sale by you, and a reason is recorded against it.
The common reasons for a takedown
- A prohibited item. What you can and cannot sell
- A manufacturer's photograph on a second-hand item, or someone else's photograph generally. Can I use the manufacturer's photo?
- A misleading title or description — a brand name on something that is not that brand, "hallmarked" on a piece with no marks. Can I sell gold or precious metal?
- A counterfeit, or something presented as genuine that is not.
- A missing licence for the category. A food listing without an approved FSSAI document will not go live. Do I need a licence to sell?
What to do about a takedown
Contact Metzee from Help, as the message says, and be specific: what the item was, what you think the reason was, and why you think it was a mistake.
"Please restore my listing" gets nowhere. "The title said 'Nike style' rather than Nike and the photographs are my own — I think it was read as a counterfeit" is something that can be checked.
Do not relist it unchanged. Putting the same item back up after a takedown is the thing most likely to turn one removed listing into a store problem. If you genuinely think it was a mistake, ask; if you can see the reason, fix it and list it properly.
If your whole store is affected
That is a different and more serious situation, and Account health will say so. Why was my account suspended?
