Credits are promotional money. You earn them; you cannot buy them and you cannot cash them out.
What they do
They come off the item price of an order. Up to a quarter of it — the rest, and all of the delivery, is paid in money.
That cap exists because credits are a discount rather than a currency. A marketplace where an item could be bought entirely with promotional credit is one where the seller is paid in something we invented.
How you get them
The main way is inviting somebody. When a friend joins through your invite and their first order of ₹299 or more is delivered, you get ₹100 and they get ₹50.
Note the word delivered. Not ordered, not paid — delivered. An invite reward that paid out on a cancelled order would be a thing people farmed rather than a thing people earned.
They expire
Reward credits last 180 days from your last earning or spending. Use them or they lapse. Credits issued by Metzee staff do not expire.
On a refund
Credits you spent come back to your balance, not to your bank. That is where they came from. How refunds work.
Questions people ask
Can I buy credits?
No. They are earned or given.
Can I withdraw them as money?
No. They only reduce an order's price.
Can I pay for delivery with credits?
No — delivery is always paid in money.
Why only a quarter of the item?
Because a credit is a discount on a sale, not a substitute for one. The seller is paid in money either way.
What happens if they expire?
They go. The clock resets every time you earn or spend any.
