Yes, and there are two arrangements. Picking the wrong one is how this goes wrong.
Arrangement one: it is your store
You buy, or are given, the things. You list them, you describe them, you post them, you are paid. Whatever you then do with the money is between you and the other person.
You are the seller. Your ratings, your defect rate, your responsibility if something is misdescribed.
This is the right shape for selling a relative's collection, clearing a house, or reselling on consignment. It is also simply how reselling works. Can I buy things to resell on Metzee?
Arrangement two: it is their store, and you help
They own it. Their bank account, their PAN, their tax identity. You join their team with a role — listing, hosting, packing, answering buyers.
The money stays with the owner. There is no role that hands over payouts, bank details or the balance, and that is the feature rather than a limitation. Can two of us run one store?
This is right for a family business, a collective, or helping someone who does not want to be on camera.
The thing that decides which
Whose bank account the money should land in. Payouts go to an account in the owner's own name, and nothing else is possible — not a spouse's, not a parent's, not a friend's. Do I need a bank account to sell?
So if the money should be theirs, the store must be theirs, and you join their team. If the money is coming to you, it is your store and the responsibility is yours too.
What not to do
Do not open a store in your name and route the money to them informally. You carry the tax identity, the ratings and the liability for sales that are not really yours.
Do not share a login. It is how accounts are lost, and a shared account has no answer to the question of who did what. How to keep your account safe
Do not list someone's things without the right to sell them. That is on the not-allowed list, and "it was in the family" is not the same as it being yours. Prohibited items explained
For a group selling together
One store, one owner, several people with roles. That is the supported shape and it works well — the alternative, several accounts listing shared stock, produces duplicate listings, split ratings and an argument about whose sale it was.
