I lost the phone with my Metzee account

Your account is not on the phone. What to do first, and the one thing that genuinely locks you out.

Your account is not on the phone — it is on Metzee's servers, and you reach it by signing in. A lost phone is an inconvenience, not a lost account.

Sign in on another device and you are back.

Do these first, in this order

1. Get your number back. Your account is tied to a verified mobile number, so a replacement SIM on the same number is what restores normal access. Everything else is a workaround.

2. Sign in somewhere else — a laptop, a tablet, another phone. Metzee runs in a browser, so anything with one will do. Does Metzee work on a tablet?

3. Check nothing happened while you were away. Any wins you need to pay for, any orders in motion.

The one thing that genuinely locks you out

Losing access to the number itself. Not the handset — the number. If the SIM is gone and the number is gone with it, the route back is harder, because the number is how the account proves it is yours.

That is also why it is worth sorting the SIM out first and the Metzee login second.

If you cannot get the number back

Contact Metzee under Account & login, which exists for exactly this, and explain. Expect to be asked things only you would know — recent orders, what you bought, the bank account on file if you sell.

That friction is the protection working. An account that could be moved to a new number on request is an account anybody could take. How to keep your account safe

What you should not do

Do not make a second account. It splits your history, loses your orders and your ratings, and one verified number belongs to one account anyway. Can I have two accounts?

Do not let anyone "help" you recover it who contacted you first. Nobody from Metzee will ask you for a code. Fake Metzee websites and messages

Before it happens

Know which number your account uses. Obvious, and people genuinely do not.

Keep the number itself safe — it is the key to more than Metzee.

If you sell, make sure a payout failure would reach you. A bank detail mismatch is reported in the app, so it is waiting for you when you get back in rather than disappearing. Payout failed

If you think somebody else has your account

Treat it as urgent and report it. That is a different problem with a different route. How to keep your account safe
