How to track an order

Where tracking appears, what each status means, and the gap between "posted" and the courier admitting it exists.

Open the order. Tracking appears there once the seller has marked it sent and added a number.

What the statuses mean

Paid — the money is with us. The seller has been told.

Ready — packed. For a pickup order, this starts your collect-by clock.

Sent — it is with the courier, or on its way with the seller.

Delivered — it arrived, or the courier says it did.

The quiet gap

A tracking number often shows nothing for a day or two. That is the courier's system, not a sign something is wrong: a parcel is scanned when it reaches a hub, which may be well after it was collected.

Worry when the gap is several days with no movement at all, not when it is quiet overnight.

If it has stopped moving

Give it the stated window, message the seller, then raise it. The money is still with us the whole time.

Questions people ask

Why is there no tracking number?

Normal for a seller's own delivery and for pickup. Ask them for an expected time.

What if tracking says delivered but nothing arrived?

Check with neighbours, the gate and the security desk first, then raise it quickly rather than waiting — these are easier to trace while the courier’s record is fresh.

Can I change the address now?

Before dispatch, ask the seller. After, no.

More: my item never arrived.
