Four things can come off a sale. Three of them are your own decisions.
1. The commission
A percentage, taken from the proceeds at the point of sale.
Not printed here — it is a setting and it can differ by store, so a number in a blog post is a number that goes stale and then misleads somebody planning around it. Your own rate is on your fee screen, where it is current.
2. GST on the commission
The commission is a service we sell you, so it carries GST — on top of the commission, not inside it.
Both appear as separate lines on your monthly invoice. That split is what makes the invoice usable when you file rather than being just a receipt.
3. Delivery you absorbed
If you offered free or subsidised delivery, that is a cost you chose. It comes off the balance rather than hiding inside the sale price, so you can see what the choice actually cost across a show.
4. Promotions, discounts, cash collected on delivery
Same principle. Every one is visible as its own line.
The point of showing it this way
So that "what did I earn on that?" has an answer you can read rather than reconstruct. If a number in your bank is ever a mystery, that is a bug in the statement and we want to hear about it.
Questions people ask
Is there a fee to list?
No. No listing fee, no monthly fee, no charge for going live.
Do I get the commission back on a refund?
Full and partial refunds behave differently. Your statement shows what happened on any individual order.
Why did a deduction appear days after the sale?
A refund, or an absorbed cost landing late. The balance moves when it does.
Where do I see all of this?
Your payout statement, line by line.
Next: when do I get paid.
