Your message did not vanish silently — you were told why. The wording tells you which of four things happened.
1. A word not allowed anywhere on Metzee
"Your message has a word that isn't allowed on Metzee."
A platform-wide list. The message is refused and nothing else follows — no mark, no mute.
2. A word this host has muted
"Your message has a word the host has muted."
Different thing entirely. A store can mute words in its own show, and that is their room to run. The same word may be perfectly fine in the next show you watch. What is not allowed in a show chat
3. You are muted from chat
"You can't chat in shows until" and a date.
This one is about conduct rather than a word, it applies across Metzee rather than to one room, and it has an end date on it.
You can still watch, bid, buy and pay while muted. Only chatting stops.
4. You were typing too fast
"Slow down a little."
Five messages in five seconds is the limit. Wait a moment and send it again — nothing is held against you, and the message is not lost unless you navigate away.
What is not happening
Nothing is hidden quietly. There is no shadow-ban where your messages appear to you and to nobody else. If it went through, the room saw it.
The host cannot delete you personally on a whim — they can mute words and block someone from their store, both of which you would notice.
If you think a mute was wrong
Ask. A strike or a restriction can be looked at again, and "there was a reason" is a thing people say successfully more often than they expect. Can I appeal a decision?
If your message simply is not sending
That is a fifth thing and usually a connection problem rather than moderation. Chat is not sending
The practical advice
Reword and send again for reasons 1 and 2 — it is a word, not you.
Wait two seconds for reason 4.
Only reason 3 needs anything from you, and it has a date on it.
More: what is not allowed in a show chat, how the chat in a show works, how moderation works.
